Eye Shadow Week: Brown Eyes

Ever wonder, "Hmm.. what eye shadow shade would make my normal brown eyes pop?" Well 2/3 of tridelta have brown eyes, so we are just the people to ask! We love using golds, browns, champagnes, and purples.  When using an eye shadow of any shade make sure that it has some sparkle to it because the contrast between your matte brown eyes and your eye shadow will really make the difference! Also When you have brown eyes and you use a brown eye shadow use a shade that is either lighter or darker that the actual color of your eye, to really show it off! But most importantly take risks with your makeup and have fun! We hope you try these, and love them as much as we do! xoxo- tridelta

Eye Shadow Week: Blue Eyes

So this week we are going to do things a little different. Monday-Thursday we will be featuring different eye shadows that coordinate with each eye color. So through out the week follow us to find out what eye shadow makes you eyes pop!
Today we will be talking about what eye shadow is best for your BABY BLUES. Well coming from someone who has blue eyes I have found a few different shadows that I really love!
  • The first eye shadow that I love is the "Vanity" pallet from Wet n Wild. It comes with three matte browns and three shimmery browns. When done correctly this pallet makes a beautiful everyday bronze smoky eye.

  • The second eye shadow that I love is "Mess In a Dress" by Too Faced. This is a vibrant pink color that I usually pair with the "Famous and Fierce" eye shadow duo from Victoria's Secret. This makes a great look for going out and is a huge statement that will really make you blue eyes POP!

The Little Black Dress

So today were talking about the most classic trend in fashion history.. The little black dress. Here are some tips on how to dress your body type:
  • Bottom-heavy
If you are bottom-heavy, choose fuller skirts to disguise a thicker middle while highlighting the waist. Strapless dresses will take attention off the middle and draw the eye upward.
  • Apple-shaped
People with this shape should wear low-cut necklines to thin out a fuller figure. Avoid clingy fabrics and high necklines.
  • Pear-shaped or Thick-Wasted
Opt for an empire waistline. Empire waistbands fall just under the bust, to bring the focus up and emphasize the smallest part of your waistline. Avoid dresses with open pleated or tapered skirts.
  • Broad-shouldered
Choose asymmetrical necklines to flatter your shoulders. Avoid sleeves with a lot of volume and big collars.
  • Large-chested
Look for v and square necklines to balance out your figure. Also, choose dresses with plain tops, as embellishments in the chest area will only add weight. Three-quarter length sleeves also balance out a heavier top. Avoid high necklines, thin straps, and bulky fabrics.
  • Small-Chested
Wear tops that have volume, such as ruffles or embellishments on the bust to enhance your chest. Choose something with a cinched waist to flatter the upper body.
  • Petite
Purchase a dress with a lot of visual interest in the seaming and the cut of the neck to add shape. Ball gowns are also flattering for this body type.
  • Not Very Curvy
Choose a dress with fuller sleeves or layers and ruffles to add curves where your body lacks them. Wrap dresses also add the illusion of curves.
  • Short with a Long Torso
Choose dresses with visual interest by your face to bring the eye up. Also opt for straight skirts and accessorize with a high heel. Avoid dresses with a dropped waist.
  • Tall with a Short Torso
Choose dresses that have embellishments along the length of your legs or at the bottom seam to draw visual interest to your length. Dresses that have darker colors on top and lighter colors on the bottom flatter this body type. Opt for skirt styles that are straight or flare out. Avoid pin-striped dresses with empire waistlines.
  • Curvy
Choose fitted dresses with defined waistlines to show off your curves in all the right places. Low-cut necklines also flatter this frame.
Have fun and always remember to be fashionable.
