Eye Shadow Week: Brown Eyes

Ever wonder, "Hmm.. what eye shadow shade would make my normal brown eyes pop?" Well 2/3 of tridelta have brown eyes, so we are just the people to ask! We love using golds, browns, champagnes, and purples.  When using an eye shadow of any shade make sure that it has some sparkle to it because the contrast between your matte brown eyes and your eye shadow will really make the difference! Also When you have brown eyes and you use a brown eye shadow use a shade that is either lighter or darker that the actual color of your eye, to really show it off! But most importantly take risks with your makeup and have fun! We hope you try these, and love them as much as we do! xoxo- tridelta

Eye Shadow Week: Blue Eyes

So this week we are going to do things a little different. Monday-Thursday we will be featuring different eye shadows that coordinate with each eye color. So through out the week follow us to find out what eye shadow makes you eyes pop!
Today we will be talking about what eye shadow is best for your BABY BLUES. Well coming from someone who has blue eyes I have found a few different shadows that I really love!
  • The first eye shadow that I love is the "Vanity" pallet from Wet n Wild. It comes with three matte browns and three shimmery browns. When done correctly this pallet makes a beautiful everyday bronze smoky eye.

  • The second eye shadow that I love is "Mess In a Dress" by Too Faced. This is a vibrant pink color that I usually pair with the "Famous and Fierce" eye shadow duo from Victoria's Secret. This makes a great look for going out and is a huge statement that will really make you blue eyes POP!

The Little Black Dress

So today were talking about the most classic trend in fashion history.. The little black dress. Here are some tips on how to dress your body type:
  • Bottom-heavy
If you are bottom-heavy, choose fuller skirts to disguise a thicker middle while highlighting the waist. Strapless dresses will take attention off the middle and draw the eye upward.
  • Apple-shaped
People with this shape should wear low-cut necklines to thin out a fuller figure. Avoid clingy fabrics and high necklines.
  • Pear-shaped or Thick-Wasted
Opt for an empire waistline. Empire waistbands fall just under the bust, to bring the focus up and emphasize the smallest part of your waistline. Avoid dresses with open pleated or tapered skirts.
  • Broad-shouldered
Choose asymmetrical necklines to flatter your shoulders. Avoid sleeves with a lot of volume and big collars.
  • Large-chested
Look for v and square necklines to balance out your figure. Also, choose dresses with plain tops, as embellishments in the chest area will only add weight. Three-quarter length sleeves also balance out a heavier top. Avoid high necklines, thin straps, and bulky fabrics.
  • Small-Chested
Wear tops that have volume, such as ruffles or embellishments on the bust to enhance your chest. Choose something with a cinched waist to flatter the upper body.
  • Petite
Purchase a dress with a lot of visual interest in the seaming and the cut of the neck to add shape. Ball gowns are also flattering for this body type.
  • Not Very Curvy
Choose a dress with fuller sleeves or layers and ruffles to add curves where your body lacks them. Wrap dresses also add the illusion of curves.
  • Short with a Long Torso
Choose dresses with visual interest by your face to bring the eye up. Also opt for straight skirts and accessorize with a high heel. Avoid dresses with a dropped waist.
  • Tall with a Short Torso
Choose dresses that have embellishments along the length of your legs or at the bottom seam to draw visual interest to your length. Dresses that have darker colors on top and lighter colors on the bottom flatter this body type. Opt for skirt styles that are straight or flare out. Avoid pin-striped dresses with empire waistlines.
  • Curvy
Choose fitted dresses with defined waistlines to show off your curves in all the right places. Low-cut necklines also flatter this frame.
Have fun and always remember to be fashionable.

The Birkin Bag

The Birkin. Every girls dream bag. Recently we have seen many stars carrying Birkins in all different colors, like orange, cobalt blue, and of course the classics; black, white, and grey. This is the kind of bag that is meant to be worn as a statement piece, or the focal point of an outfit. Because it is such a special bag, it needs to be worn with simple pieces, such as a little black dress, or to dress up an outfit like jeans and a graphic tee, or to turn a rocker chic outfit into a mix of rugged and sophistication. Here are some of our favorite celebrity looks. xoxo, tridelta.

Bright Colors For Spring

For spring this year we are really excited to wear bright colors, especially cobalt blue! We love this color because it is so wearable and it adds such a great contrast to any outfit! For spring you want to look fresh and vibrant so this color really adds that little something to your outfit that makes people say "Wow, she looks really good!" If this color intimidates you and your not sure how to wear it, don't worry! This is the kind of color that needs to be worn in moderation. Adding a simple necklace, or a scarf to your outfit can do the trick.

Or if you want to make a statement wear a pair of heels, or a dress or jumper that day. But the most important thing to do when wearing a bright color like this is to have total confidence in yourself. If you think you are pulling it off, so will everyone else! Who knows you might even start a trend at your school, or at work! xoxo, tridelta

BCBG 2012 Spring collection

We always love BCBG and this collection did not surprise us at all! We love all their new and up coming dresses. The line looked to be inspired by Spring’s fresh energy and urban spirit, BCBG debuted soft, silk, and chiffon knee-length and maxi dresses in its most recent runway collection. We spotted tribal prints, lots of color blocking, and bold cutouts in fun colors like coral, cobalt blue, and yellow. We always love to see the bright and bold colors for spring, and the color blocking is so in right now. We also love the choice of hair, the sleeked back look is fantastic! We do wish that they would have taken a bigger risk with the makeup and/or shoes. The music was also great, its was upbeat fun and had a nice rhythm for the girls to walk to. Over all we really enjoyed the show, and we hope you all are just as excited for this line as we are! You know tridelta will be hitting up BCBG  the second this line comes out! Review of: Color Tatto 24HR Cream Gel Shadow

So today I tried out  Color Tatto 24HR Cream Gel Shadow by Maybelline.
It comes in ten differnt shades:
Fierce and Tangy- a vibrant orange color
Too Cool- a white color with under tones of silver sparkle
Audacious Asphalt- a creamy charcoal grey
Painted Purple-a very bright medium purple
Bad to the Bronze- a very deep shimmery bronze
Pomegranate Punk- a light raisin with some purple undertones
Tough as Taupe- a medium to dark brown-ish
Tenacious Teal- a bold electric blue with a lot of sparkle
Edgy Emerald- a lighter very sparkly emerald green
And finally Bold Gold- a very bright shimmery gold
Bold gold is the color I wore today, I used it as a sort of base for the rest of my eye shadow. After I applied the Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow I put on a light gold and a few different matte brown colors to make a very elegant smoky eye. I was very very pleased with the long lasting effects of this product! After a long day of school and running errands my eye shadow was still almost perfect. It didn't even come off in the shower, I finally took it off  easily with eye makeup remover. I would defiantly recommend this product for anyone who needs their eye shadow to last through out your busy day!

Leather Jackets!

The leather jacket is an essential to any women's wardrobe. These are the jackets we recommend.
If you are:

  • Narrow: We recommend something that is cropped, brightly colored, or something that has a large collar detail.
  • Straight Up and Down (a.k.a. no curves): We recommend something with a cinched waist, buttons straight down the middle, or something with a large shoulder detail.
  • Curvy or Plus Sized: We recommend something with an off-center zipper, something that is collarless, or something that is very structured.
Narrow: Cropped

2012 Golden Globes

"Fashion is head to toe"-Nicole Richie (Golden Globes 2012)
This quote is so true! Tonight at the Golden Globes most people were dressed to impress from head to toe, others unfortunately were not. This is our opinion on the best looks of the night, although there were many other looks that had potential to make the list. Please leave your comments and tell us what you thought of the looks at the 2012 Golden Globes. xoxo- tridelta

Our Top 5 Best Dressed:
Jessica Alba- Gucci  Jessica had a beautiful glow about her when she was sporting this amazing Gucci dress. She also accessorized very well with some dainty, sparkly jewelry as you can see in this picture.

Claire Danes- J. Mendel  Claire looked stunning in her J. Mendel dress. From the extravagant details in the back to the simply elegant front the dress made its way into our number two spot. And the "cherry" on top was her red lip, over all a winner!

Selma Hayek- Gucci      Just like Jessica, Selma also wore a dress by Gucci. Selma really brought the sex appeal to the red carpet. Her hair and accessories also complement her gown very well.
Lea Michelle-  Marchesa

We really admire Lea's risk taking in this Marchesa  gown. We feel in this case the sheer detail on the upper portion works for her young, adventurous                                                                               style.

Madonna- Reem Acra         Madonna finally got it right this year in her Reem Acra gown. Not only did the dress flatter her shape in the best way but it was very age appropriate (unlike many other outfit choices she has made). Her one glove and cross necklace guaranteed her the number five spot in our best dressed list.
